You don’t have to work in your area of study. You don’t have to work in your area of interest. You don’t have to work in your area of hobby. In fact, working in those particular areas can produce boredom.
Working gets interesting when we do something outside of our expertise and scope but can still leverage our skill sets. You learn more when you have to become a teacher and provide expertise.
Treat work like a remix. Incorporate diverse elements and perspectives to produce a more advanced and interesting product. Your biggest challenge will be keeping it simple, knowing when the things you know don’t mix well.
