Tumblr’s uniqueness as an expression engine
Every time a new visual sharing site comes out like Pinterest all of sudden everyone questions the survival of Tumblr. Tumblr is not going anywhere. Tumblr will continue to grow and thrive mainly because of it offers multiple ways to share different forms of content.
As a blog and microblog, Tumblr does what Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram do and more. You can post any piece of content (image, text, quote, music, a link) and share it with a community of 10 million plus Tumblr users. Tumblr’s rich and active community is the primary reason I moved out of a traditional platform like Wordpress. My page views have since skyrocketed.
Tumblr’s inherent social network removes the hurdle of finding people to read your blog. The user’s responsibility is to simply focus on providing engaging content and making it easy to find via hashtags.
Tumblr is a diverse platform with multi-expression functionality. Cool, fun, entertaining and deeply personal, Tumblr will continue to play an important role in the social networking arena.
Numbers game.
