Codecademy Update
My New Year’s resolution is to learn to code with Codecademy in 2012!Join me. codeyear.com #codeyear — Mike Bloomberg (@MikeBloomberg) January 5, 2012
Like Mayor Mike Bloomberg I also pledged to learn to code earlier this year. And like the Mayor, I quit after about 2 months in.
Coding got boring, real quick. It reminded me Algebra with a bunch of rules and formulas built on top of each other. Everything had one answer. I was more interested in the lawlessness of design.
Still, everyone should know the coding basics. Coding is the language of the web. As a language, not everyone is going to want to learn it and speak it.
Learning to think in code will enable you to find the appropriate level of code to engage with to communicate better with others and make your own ideas more valuable to them. - Anthony Kosner, Forbes
